McDonald Subaru Sponsors Heritage High School’s “MAD Splash n’ Dash”
Heritage High School’s annual Make a Difference Week, or MAD Week, was held on April 11th though April 18th. The "MAD Splash 'n Dash" event was a fundraiser to help support HHS’s sister school in Kabala, Sierra Leone, Africa. HHS helped build the school in Kabala over the course of several years with the help of Heritage students, staff and the surrounding community. All proceeds from this race went to the sister school, shown above, to provide support for teachers' salaries, supplies, and upkeep. This event served as a powerful connection for Colorado and its people who strive to make a difference in the global community. The race included a 300-yard swim in the HHS pool, followed by a 5k run (3.1 miles) on the Lee Gulch and Highline Canal. We at McDonald Subaru would like to thank Andrea Rudolph, one of our longtime Subaru customers, for giving us this sponsorship opportunity, and HHS for all the good you have done for the people of Kabala.
